Question 1

What is HookGenius?

Accepted Answer

HookGenius is a Suno prompt generator and lyric writer: a pre-production tool for Suno. You describe a song in plain language and it returns the two things Suno's composer needs — the lyrics with structure tags, and the Styles prompt — formatted to paste straight in. It is the step before Suno, not a competitor to it.

Question 2

Does HookGenius make the music?

Accepted Answer

No. HookGenius writes the lyrics and the style prompt; Suno generates the audio. If you want a finished song from one click without opening Suno, HookGenius is the wrong tool. You need a Suno account to hear anything you make here.

Question 3

Do I need a Suno account to use HookGenius?

Accepted Answer

Yes. HookGenius produces the text you paste into Suno's composer. Without Suno there is nothing to paste it into.

Question 4

How much does HookGenius cost?

Accepted Answer

There is a free tier of 5 credits with no card required, where 1 credit is one complete generation. Credit packs are $7 for 14 credits, $15 for 30, and $35 for 70. Subscriptions are $9 a month for 30 credits, $19 for 80, and $39 for 170. Credits never expire.

Question 5

Does the free version use a weaker AI model?

Accepted Answer

No. Every generation runs on the same frontier-class AI model regardless of what you pay. There is no cheaper fallback tier and no degraded model at lower price points — free and paid users get the same engine.

Question 6

What languages can HookGenius write in?

Accepted Answer

42 output languages, written with native phrasing rather than translated English. Indonesian, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Arabic, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin and German are among the most used.

Question 7

How is HookGenius different from other Suno prompt generators?

Accepted Answer

Most tools do one pass over a template. HookGenius runs two stages: the first writes as the artist, deciding voice and lyric craft; the second writes as the producer, deciding arrangement, mix language and the style prompt. It also returns an Exclude Styles block for Suno's negative-prompt field, and Album Mode turns one concept into a cohesive multi-track project.

Question 8

Is HookGenius up to date with Suno v6?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Suno shipped v6 on 9 September 2026 and HookGenius tracks its field limits measured directly off the live composer: lyrics 5,000 characters, style 1,000, exclude styles 1,000.
